    Hi guys,

I need to buy some cheap routers (30$) for my folks and I was wondering whether anyone has any recommendations. It's not urgent so I can fish for some offers but I was wondering whether you guys have some advices. To save money I'm looking at 'old' hardware, such as Linksys WRT54G-TM.

I saw some posts about getting this router at 15-25$ but I can't find it on ebay at less then 50-60$ which is way out of my budget.

I know there are some other alternatives out there but I'm trying to get a 32mb model since the kids will probably do some heavy torrenting.

Thanks in advance for any links, shops or deals!

    Cheers,

You might keep an eye on cowboom.com. I just checked and they don't have any right now but every once in a while they will get in a huge lot of the WRT54G-TM routers. They go pretty fast but I have ordered several from them with no problems. Two of them were supposed to be used but were new in a shrink wrapped box and appeared to have never been touched. The price varies depending on what accessories are available such as the cd, box etc. and ranges from $12 to $30 each.

    Craigslist ?

Depending on where you are, you might want to try Craigslist. Where I live, a lot of people are upgrading to N routers and are dumping their old B/G routers (sometimes rather cheap). If you are patient, you might be able to find a good deal.

Thanks guys. I've already looked at craiglists and am now targeting cowboom.com as well.
    Hopefully something will show up.

    Cheers!
