Basically I am wondering which version of the BEFCMU10 I have. The box and sticker on the bottom both say version 3, but under the browser config it says hardware version 1.0 and software version 1.1.2.0.3. I chatted with the Linksys online help. What a waste of time. I read online that the version 1 is a completely different color black not the linksys blue, and looks different. Anyway the online support said if the sticker said it is a version 3 then it is a version 3. After about a half of an hour of questions the same answer. Even if the question did not ask about the model number sticker the answer was if the sticker said it was a version 3 the it was a version 3. I then told customer support that I took the sticker off now how could I tell what hardware version I have. Answer: if the sticker says... I then reminded them that I no longer have a sticker and could no longer read it. The simple question I would think would be is the modem blue? If it is then it is not a version 1. But I still want to find out what modem I have. It says DOCSIS 1.1 on the config screen, but the box says 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0. I think it might be a version 2. The reason I ask is whatever DOCSIS is if my cable company upgrades or what not, I don't want to have to buy another modem to upgrade if I already paid for a modem that should be compatable. Any help on finding my hardware version and What DOCSIS is would be appreciated. If you don't know you could always say if the sticker says it is a version 3 then it is a version 3, ha ha  Thanks, snwbdr
