Hello I am still new here and I am wondering which firmware to use with a WRT54GL version 1.1

My connection is a DSL line from Covad using PPPoE and I am in the process of switching to using VoIP for my home phone.

I had a WRT54G version 5 that was sent back to Linksys because it would not work with VoIP. Linksys sent me a WRT54GL version 1.1 which has firmware version 4.30.2 on it.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Rob,

    I would advise you DD-WRT.
Why? Because it have a lot of includes feactures and is simply to use. If you have experience with Linux, you can use open wrt, but for newbys not advisable. (DD-Wrt based on open-WRT)

    Greetings,

if your new to the WRT scene the use Thibor 15c, it is similar in design as the original firmware and does most of what you will most likely need it for.
