Which version to choose from Victek?

I'm going to upgrade my original version of Tomato Firmware (v1.28.1816) to Victek's mod. But now confused which Victek's version to choose from "Tomato RAF based in Original Tomato source code. Last Release. K2.4.20 MIPSR1 (Tomato RAF 1.28.121006.)" or "Tomato RAF based in Tomato ND. Last Release. K2.4.37 MIPSR1 (Tomato RAF 1.28.8515 ND. Standard version for WRT54GL and non USB routers.)".

The first one guarantees WAN-LAN 80Mb throughput, and the second one is Standard version for WRT54GL and non USB routers.. Well, I need Victek's mod to control bandwidth, also who doesn't want a guaranteed WAN-LAN 80Mb throughput? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

both will work correct. First is based on original tomato 1.28, well propably will has better wireless performance.

2nd is based on tomatousb well will has more features like web monitor.

    You have to try yourself.

Thanks for the reply. Now I've flashed and tested both.

Victek's Tomato RAF 1.28.8515 ND. Standard has everything including Web monitor and Bandwidth controller, but free space in RAM showing only 3.5% all the time.

Victek's Tomato RAF 1.28.121006 doesn't have Web monitor, which is one of the most important feature that I need; though this version also has bandwidth controller. But it always has 57% free space of RAM which is very good.

Now my question, is there any add-on available for RAF 1.28.121006 for Web monitoring? Or any other way to do this with this version?

That's odd. I've used 8515 for years and the free RAM is around 50% - similar to the 57% that you mention. I have many AP's using it, just checked some and all are around 45%. Do you have the "count cache and buffers as free memory" box checked in Admin/Debug?

Thanks for your comment. Now I'm using RAF 1.28.121006 and "count cache and buffers as free memory" is checked. But so far as I remember it wasn't checked in RAF 1.28.8515 ND by default. Is this the reason for low memory space? In that case I can go back to version v8515ND. Thank you.

I've flashed back again to version Victek's Tomato RAF 1.28.8515 ND Std; "count cache and buffers as free memory" box checked; and this time it's showing around 49% free space in RAM :). My mistake was I didn't cleared nvram after flashed from original version, actually I didn't know that itz important. Then I flashed again to version with VPN, and still getting 48% free memory. Thanks for your nice support Toastman! Thank you very much.

Now running Victek's Tomato RAF Firmware v1.28.8525 _RAF ND+VPN :). It has everything I need, including Web monitor, BW controller & VPN; except IPv6 support. Now I'm happy with my WRT54GL.
