Hi, I have a WRT54GL with WHITE RUSSIAN (0.9). Moreover I want to secure my wlan with WPA2. But it doesn't work. Does the wireless-tools (default package) not support WPA2? I have choosen WPA(PSK) and then only the WPA2 and AES feature. Can anybody help me please? a lot of greetings from Austria.
First, check if wpa/tkip works, then check your OS, to see if you have the rigth software, windows need a update for handling wpa2, and else you have to update your wireless card driver; then try again wpa2/aes. good luck.
Hi, wpa/tkip also not works. Clients connects shortly any while getting IP from DHCP the connection is away. With WEP and unprotected it works. Must I install wireless-tools and wpa_supplicant together!? Or only the wpa_supplicant? On default only wireless-tools are installed and then wpa seems not to work. Or should I try the nas package? With original Linksys firmware WPA work (there you also can choose WPA-Enterprise). a lot of greetings from Austria.
If you want the encryption, you need the NAS package, is essential, try a ready firmware, like x-wrt, it's Whiterussion 0.9, but with webif2, and other stuff, it works fine with wpa2/aes. http://x-wrt.org/
Ok, then I will try to install nas-package. Should it work then automatically or must I change anything in config-files?
