Why was TCP Vegas removed from Tomato USB?

I just update both my router to the newer version of Tomato USB by teadybear today and I notice that TCP Vegas was removed. I was curious as to why it was removed. Is it just not needed anymore? Thanks for any info provided.

TCP Vegas is only effective for traffic originating from the router itself, so you're not going to see any difference in normal usage.

Plus, if I recall correctly, there was some benchmarking done that showed that it just wasn't that effective anyway.

Also all modern operating systems already have congestion controls built-in, including Linux 2.6, Windows Vist/7, & FreeBSD/MacOSX... If you have "too many" congestion controls layered on top of one another, you'll have reduced performance.

So, firmware based on 2.6 kernel should already have it built-in.
