Wired to wireless problem

Having a problem getting our wired devices to see the wireless devices on our network.

    Here is our setup.

    .........................../ SR216
    BEFCMU10 - RV042
    ...........................\ WRT54GL

All of our wired connections go through the SR216 and the WRT54GL hooks up to the RV042 directly as well. The WRT has DHCP disabled.

I can access the internet fine on all of the computers. And the wireless connection can see and access files on the wired computer, but the wired computers can not see the wireless computer through My Network Places.

Also, I can successfully ping the wireless computer from a wired connection. All computers are running ZoneAlarm, and have the local network address range added as a trusted zone.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would lean toward the firewall on the wrt or windows firewall causing the grief. What is it you are trying to do and perhaps we may have some suggestions as how to troubleshoot why its not working.

All wired and wireless computers on same subnet and same workgroup? Disable ZoneAlarm and see if you still have the problem.? See if you can access one of the wireless computers by typing \\computername in Windows explorer. If so, try the "My Network Places" again. If not, check the filtering, if any, of netbios stuff (tcp and udp ports 137, 138, 139) on your routers/switches.

I got this problem figured out.

Important rule of thumb, check ALL of you settings twice whenever you have a problem. I thought that I had everything setup on the notebook, but it wasn't. Changed a setting and everything works now. It was one of those where you want to slap yourself in the back of the head for not catching it sooner.

    Thanks.
