Hello. I figured this would be the place to post my problems in hopes that someone out there might have a solution.

I rceently bought a Linksys WRT54GS v2. From the get-go there seemed to be a problem. You see, I can connect and connect fine! perfect signal, no problems. But the randomly and unexpectedly the connection completely drops. In order to reconnect I have to disable the 2200BG module in my laptop and re-enable it to even have a chance to get back on...but when I do I reconnect no problem and everything is rainbows and butterflies until the next time it drops and I have to do it all over again.

I have tried various firmware upgrades, and am currently using the Talisman/Basic by Sveasoft. I figured that boosting the signal to 251mW would help....but no such luck. Is there anything I can try? This problem exists on all channels 1-11, and I am unable to test 12-14 due to limitations on my adapter. It has happened 3 times since I started writing this post and it is VERY annoying. any suggestions?

Does it do this to other Wireless cards? maybe its the card in your computer or at least the driver?

This happens to me to, but it is not related to the router or the wireless card. I found it to be external interference from my 2.4 Ghz cordless phones. If you or someone near you has a phone that overlaps into the freqency you are using, it can disconnect you. With the spread spectrum technology on the phones nowadays, it almost seems random.
