Can anyone point me to any online reources that detail the overhead used by the difference wireless encryption methods like WEP and WPA etc?

For years now - I could never stream a full 4.5gb dvd movie wirelessly around my house without major chop. so much, that it was unwatchable. Then I read a blurb somewhere about how WEP can degrade your performance by almost half - so I disabled it - and now I can stream dvd movies with no problem anywhere in my house.

So I am wondering if there is a resource that will explain what encryption is best used for streaming multimedia etc. thanks!

I think the encryption method with the lowest overhead is WPA-PSK AES. Then next is WEP then after that is WPA-PSK TKIP.
