Read all the other posts of people who were having trouble on this topic. Seems my problem is something else since both routers are on the same subnet, are using WPA + TKIP, and what not. The second router shows that its connected but the first doesn't see the other. My setup: WRT54GL 1: 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 AP Mode SSID: calonet Channel 8 WPA + TKIP Same shared key WRT54GL 2: 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0 Wireless ethernet bridge mode SSID: calonet Channel 8 WPA + TKIP Same shared key From what I've been able to tell, with these settings they should be communicating but they are not. I've also cleared the NVRAM on each just to be sure. When I do wireless survey from #2 it shows that #1 has a signal strength of ~40 so I'm not sure what the deal is. Figured this out. Having the "Host Name" under identification set to anything else but a blank value causes them to not connect; even if they have the same value.
