Wireless Range problems with Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7

I've recently upgraded to a WRTGS54 with the Satori firmware and have noticed that my wireless laptops are having problems finding a signal and connecting.

Prior to my firmware upgrade, I had a great range throughout my house.
I have noticed the Xmit Power Setting under Wireless - > Advanced Settings and would like to know what a recommended setting should be and what are the issues if I go for a max setting of 84 mw.

On an un-related question : Under Wireless-> Basic Settings - what does the wireless network mode of "Afterburner" mean?

    Thanks

it takes you to try different transmitt settings for the power. I usually have mine on 84.

Afterburner is a linksys "tweak" to get faster throughput with other linksys GS devices. if you dont have any other GS devices that support afterburner then dont use it.
