I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B Broadband Router. I just recently had to reset it to factory defaults because the WEP key for it got lost. After resetting the router, I decided to upgrade to the latest firmware version (dated April 27, 2005). After setting up the router with a new SSID, broadcast channel, and WEP key, everything was working great. But I later realized that a new problem got created somehow: Every night when the network is not experiencing much (if any) traffic, the wireless network goes down. Just gone...the SSID disappears from the list of available wireless networks on all clients. And the only fix is to unplug the router and plug it back in again. This has happened every night for the past 3 nights. What is causing this problem? Could it be the new firmware? The fact that my SSID has a hyphen in it now (doubt it)? This problem never happened before I reset to factory defaults and upgraded the firmware.
