hello, i have i strange problem with my Linksys WRT54GL with Firmware: DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) std

my problem is that i have two wireless clients linked to my outdoor ruter, they have the same link quality (Signal Quality 35%) but now the wireless transfer rate is from 2Mbps to 5.5Mbps (seen on the info page), so we have almost no link between us, and that is in the last 2 weeks but nothing is changed in this period, it happened suddenly and before the transfer rate on the info page was between 24-36Mbps :frown:

i am a little new in this kind of stuff  so if anybody knows why this happened and how to fix it please post here

Can be many things, as wireless signals are "living" and influenced by all sorts of things around it (rain, vegetation, metal, other radio signals, etc., etc.)

However, assuming that the "signal quality 35%" that you refer to is the signal FROM your PCs TO the WRT as seen on the WRT, it may mean that your signal FROM the WRT TO the PCs is not good. Try increasing the transmit power on the WRT, or maybe moving the WRT or its antennas (or moving the PCs or their adapters) slightly.

You can also of course, just reboot the router, and see if your signals improve on the reconnect.
