    hi
i need some help , my isp provides access through a wireless network in the apartment block through a vpn connection i wanna set it up so a few computers can share this, ive got a WRT54G.

i thought the best way to do it would be to use an old box to connect to the wireless network and dial the vpn connection then connect the WRT54G onto this computer via the WAN port and share it through that im pretty sure this will work but i have no idea how to setup the box properly

i tried running windows on it and used winroute but i couldnt get that to work right , im thinking of running linux on the box i have used linux before and it might take me a bit to get it right but i figure its gota be better than just winxp

could someone tell me if what ive described would work if i ran some sort of linux on the box with a Wireless NIC and a ethernet NIC and configured the box as a router as well then hooked up the WRT54G to that ?

also if you could point me to instructions on setting up some sort of linux distro as a router to share a vpn connection , ive been trying to google it but ..................................

    Thankyou
