WLAN<->LAN bridge...

    Hi all, reviving a little bit some old memories here... and I'm having some not so nice trouble with my WRT54G running tomato.
    Essentially I just want it as an AP, to give transparent wireless connectivity of an ether-only connection(network in 172.16.2.x).

    What I have done:
    -Moved it to router mode
    -Gave it a static LAN ip, subnet & gateway that is valid on the ether network
    -Disabled DHCP
    -Disabled WAN port and used the "assign wan port to LAN" option
    -Connected the ether connection into WAN port

    Unfortunately, this works perfectly for anything that is ether connected to the router, but not to WLAN devices.
    WLAN Devices can not get an ip as obviously dhcp is not being forwarded.
    I manually assigned an ip, ssh'ed into the wlan device, and found out it could not ping the gateway... which is all the more weird as it is doing proper LAN bridging...

    Any ideas?

    Try using another LAN port and setting the WAN port to static and setting IP, subnet and gateway to

    I guess that you have a separate DHCP server, right?
