WLAN -> WAN 50% of the speed I usually get

I have a WRT54G and since a day or so I only get 50% of the usual speeds when I download from WLAN -> WAN.

When I connect a UTP cable to my computer, and download the same file, from the same server, it downloads with around 450 KB/s, but when I download it over my WLAN, it goes with like 225 KB/s.

But now comes the weird part. When I set up a local server, and download a file from that server over my WLAN, it goes with the full ~550 KB/s (802.11b).

I've checked a lot of stuff, and I've even resetted my router to it's factory settings, but nothing helped.

I'm using the Official Linksys firmware (v3.03.1).

Could someone tell me what is going on here, because everything used to be fine before.
