    I've been considering building a Windows MCE computer & using the Linksys Media Center Extender...

    Linksys Medica Center Extender

    Has anyone tried this yet?
    Wired, Wifi (A or G)?

    This might be a *really stupid question, but you actually need to own XP Media Centre Edition to stream to that box, right? You can't just use some free tool or something to simulate it...

    I am using the Dlink DSM-320 Media Player with the Linksys NSLU2 Ethernet Storage Link.

    The DSM-320 play video on the TV and song on the hi-fi from the files saved in the NSLU2, and is stream by the TwonkyVision MediaServer.

    I do not need to turn on my computer and I keep all my video in NSLU harddisk, no stoarge for CD or DVD needed. Just play it any time I like and need not to search for CD or DVD.
