    Hey guys,

here's a simple description of my problem:

Every time I try to use one of either Linksys' or Atheros' Vista drivers for the WMP300N/Atheros 5008 card my PC simply gives me a blue screen and reboots. I've tested this on different configurations now and actually narrowed the problem down to the WMP300N...
I just wanted to ask if there's any workaround for this...
I couldn't find a thread that describes the exact same problem so I just made a new post.
    Thanks in advance.

Tried new driver 1.1.00.018 based on Atheros 7.3.1.73?

    Hi,

Had the same problems and using the XP driver currently. Has anybody tried the new driver 1.1.00.018 based on Atheros 7.3.1.73 from http://www-uk.linksys.com/servlet/S...nksys/Common/VisitorWrapper&lid=5851618458B07
    ?
Would love to know if that one is stable or at least starting and running for a significant amount of time.

    Cheers

went back to XP, because there you at least have decent drivers...
I tried the Atheros .73 driver, but it had the same problems...
would like to try out the new linksys one. My brother's still using vista with the XP-drivers so I'll probably be able to install them on his PC to see if the crashes still exist.

Hi. tried the new drivers on Vista. Don't bother. Same as the old vista drivers and the generic Atheros drivers. Tried direct driver install after uninstall previous drivers, tried driver upgrade, tried Setup.exe.
I still think is something to do with the CPU (either Dual Core or DEP mode).
Back to the XP drivers in Vista, they work no problems but also no speed .
I am serioulsy tempted to ditch all this Linksys %#$%# and go over to D-Link, their DIR655 DWA566 seems to kick bum (excuse my french).

Really a shame they can't get their act together...
As soon as I reinstall Vista (after SP2 probably...) I'll get that Linksys card right out of my PC...
