WMP54G Aerial

    this is just a quickie and i thank you in advance for your help
    I bought a second hand network card without an aerial and my aerials dont fit it.



    I was going to buy the SMC aerial linksys provide with their stand...but....it didnt look right to me, If you could help that would be great.




    Its not a screwy one, looks like one i should just push on

    I think the card is missing its connector. The WMP54G has a r-sma connector that was pressed into the gold cube with the central connector sticking out. It was fluted on one end and pressed in. The other end was threaded. One of my WMP54G PCI adapters has had a loose connector that comes off periodically. I hope you did not pay very much for it. It looks like a WMP54G version 2.0. The version 4.0 has a narrower circuit board and cover. The version 1.0 had a bigger case. Look at the FCC-ID wirh should be WMP54Gv2.0.

    I agree; this is most likely to be a WMP54G V2 adapter. Here's an image from Linksys


    The location of the casing is different - 1.0 version is at the other end of the circuit board away from the end plate.
