Seeing WPC54GS driver works on its older counterpart, I tried getting my WMP54G to use WMP54GS driver.

Bad news. A performance drop of about 25%, and even after I have completely removed and reinstalled the original driver back, things haven't been the same.

You may have better luck, but I don't recommend it.

    Esquire,

I'm going to try and replicate your results. I should have my WMP54G back in my hands by wednesday and we'll see. Maybe there's a way to tweak this thing into working... let's figure it out :-D

actually, the ultimate goal is to rip the mini PCI card out and use it in my laptop. I'm not a fan of PC Cards that stick out as the wpc54g does.

Unfortunately, my notebook is old so I don't think I have a choice but to use a PC card.

.... aren't we digressing a bit here?

Nah, its just time to get a new laptop.

Isn't it easy to justify new toys.. uh, i got a new network card and it doesn't work in my latop, i guess I'll *have* to go buy a new laptop too. Oh! and a wireless router and a 48 port switch too :-D

    This habit can become expensive.

But back to the originial post, my WMP11v2.7 came in, not my WMP54G. Should be able to pick that up Sunday. Then we will TEST!!!!!

Expensive?! Tell me about it! Price for WRT54G has dropped by half since I bought it. I was an early adopter of G standard, longer before it was rectified.

No regret though - I like having 15 LED lights blinking at the front
