Hello, I recently ran across your site while searching for a solution to my problem and thought I would post. I have a Linksys WRT54G router flashed with DD-WRT v23 mini and running Linksys WMP54G on my pc with WIndows XP 64bit SP2. I installed the Ralink drivers for it and its been connecting fine, but after about 2 minutes of connection my connection speed drops from 500kbs to 85-100kbs. I've tried may different drivers from ralink, and they either work and have the same issue or dont work at all. I also a laptop which I connect to my router through wireless and have never had this speed issue with it. My roommate who connects to the router directly doesn't have an issue with speed either. At first I thought it was just an issue of my roommate using way to much bandwidth, but it happens while his pc isnt even on either. If there's anyone that has had this issue and fixed it it would be a great help to know what I'm doing wrong. Until then I will keep tinkering.

btw the version of my card is 4.1

When I had the WMP54G Linksys tech support told me to use WZC rather than Ralink or Linksys firmware. Never had any issues with it. My neighbor has it now and works great using Windows to configure the connection.

Change of firmware is not available on an adapter, only the driver and connection software, to which WZC belongs.
