    hello,

i've got a dell L667r running win98se. when i install the software from the cd that came with the card (wmp54g v1.2) everything is fine. the next step is to insert the card into a pci slot which i do. but when i run the utility (start-->programs-->wireless g-pci monitor program utility the utility just flashes on the screen and closes??

i do cntrl+alt+del and see the program running in the background so i end the task and try to restart it. it just flashes on the screen and closes.. 8O

i've read the various forums available but no one has this problem with win98. i also tried downloading the latest drivers at www.linksys.com/download

tried all of them including version 4 to no avail. pls help

    Hi,

I'm now running XP, but if I remember when I installed on 98SE, I inserted the card before to install the driver which uses only 2 files : bcmwl5.inf and bcmwl5.sys !
The Linksys monitor is only for network managing.

Try to uninstall from the configuration panel and restart Windows.
If Windows ask you the driver give the directory with the ".inf" on the CD or the hard disk...
