    Hi,

I have installed WMP54G v.4.1 PCI wireless network adapter to my desktop. The Linksys wireless network monitor on my desktop states that "you are connected to the access point, but the internet cannot be found".

The wireless router, Linksys WRT54G2 v.1, seems to be set up fine. I can access the internet fine on the other desktop that is wired to the router itself.

I tried shutting down zone alarm and spy sweeper on my desk top and making sure Windows firewall is off. I can ping the router successfully from my desktop (4/4, none lost). I checked the security settings, WPA-personal, same authentication method and pass code. ipconfig/all on my desktop shows it is assigned an IP address by the router.

I did the steps on Linksys.com and it was about to have me update the firmware on my router, but before I did that, I wanted to try here. I've had good luck on these types of forums before with technical problems.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
