I'm having a bit of a problem with my router. Here's the situation, I had Windows ME until yesterday, when I reformatted and installed Windows XP Home Edition. When I got back on the computer, I couldn't connect to the internet. I have a WMP54G card in my computer, and a WRT54G router attached to our other computer. I installed the software that came with the card, and when I went into the WLAN monitor, it said "no association with AP", and when I went to site survey, our SSID did not show up on the list. The profiles tab will not work. Can anyone help me?

Just a quick update here. I can't seem to install the drivers for the thing either. I've tried several downloads, and the CD that came with the thing. It keeps saying "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware".

De-install the WLAN Monitor and use Windows Zero Configuration (WZC) to manage your wireless connections. The WLAN monitor does not work with Windows XP. Unless you are using ICS with the other computer and have the WRT54G connected to a second NIC or the other computer is wired to the WRT54G and the WLAN connextion iw wired to a cable modem or DSL modem it will not work. Check device manager by right-clicking the my computer icon on your desktop and selecting the properties selection and selecting the hardware tab. Select device manager by pressing the conrol button. Check the network adapters and see if you have the wireless adapter installed. If it is double click it and select the driver information. If there is a yellow flag next to it. The driver for version 2.0 follows ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/wmp54g_driver_utility_v1.3.zip

The driver for version 4.0 follows: ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/WMP54Gv4_20040415.exe
