So I have had the computer from hell build and hopefully am down to the last problem. I have a WMP54G Version 4 and per Linksys tech support used their online tool to install the NIC. The problem is that last night the connection would lock up the computer and I would have to do a hard reboot in order to get it back. Seems like it would occur almost every 30 minutes but sometimes it was less than that. In addition one time it dropped the connection and then wouldn't even see my wireless router. What the heck is going on and how do I solve it?

Any other suggestions? Just had to do another hard reboot because of network lock up.

Well after reading the procedure I saw what my issue was. I didn't install the driver in device manager. Once I did that it leveled out. Now if I could get the system stable that would be great.

I know this will sound odd but I have to throw it out there for my piece of mind. My system has been getting these very weird reboots or rather system locks. What happens is that you hear a click, the screen goes black and you have to do a hard reboot(Hold down power button) to get it back. When you look in the event log all that is listed right before the crash is that Windows found the linksys card and established service on it, even though that service was already established when windows started. Could it be this conflict that is causing the lock or weird reboot or whatever this is? The system seems to be stable until there is a change in the network card environment.
