The Wireless Network Monitor program does not detect the SSID broadcast and the "Creating A Profile" screen does not allow me to do anything except "exit". I spent 2 hours with a Linksys tech support going through the settings an uninstalling/reinstalling (for the 5th time) last night. The card seems to be performing according to the device manager and lighting as expected.

    Any thoughts?

Acces point is a WMP54G which is performing well with my 3COM wireless PCMCIA card.

    Thank you in advance.

I have elected to return the unit as the issue seemed to be unique to the Linksys support and am finding no similar experiences in internet searching/asking.

Was purchased from Amazon.com, our forum sponsor.

    Linksys tech support poor

    I had a similar problem with a WUSB11v4.
Linksys tech support said it should work fine with Win98se, but it crash's or often locks up two different computers that use them. You can't even configure all the options unless you edit the registry to set it the way you want. Linksys tech suppoort kept giving me directions for WinXP, and finally said they cant help me any more and won't warranty them because they work fine on other operating systems.
