I own a WMP54G PCl Adapter which works fine on my main pc. I have a linKsys ap which serves Internet. I installed the card to a Pentium 2 PC with windows 2000 using the original drivers. I installed a Wifi manager program But it won't find the AP !

I don't mean It can't get an IP, even if I add it to Prefered aps it will not even see a signal.

see if you can get another wireless adapter and see if the ap is even broadcasting a ssid.

see if the ap is working at all by plugging a computer into it.

    is ssid broadcasting on

try moving closer to the ap.

although i hate taking the easy way out try resetting the ap to factory defaults.

this will take care of the non ssid broadcasting and anything else that ails your ap

The ap is working perfectly with a laptop ... (wirelessly)

Also, the pc is in 1 meter's distance from the AP.

Anyway, It 's gone now, i gave up...
