World of Warcraft High Latency

I am aware that are many posts involving this issue, but I am addressing it again because I did not find ANY concrete and to-the-point answer.
My router is WRT54GL, with Tomato 1.17 installed.
My network is composed of 3 computers wired.
My PC has Vista x64 SP1 installed with all the latest drivers.

I have tried everything I could possibly try and found over the forums, but to no avail.
The problem is": the game starts at 150-200 Latency BUT after a few minutes it simply jumps to 3000 - 12000 latency. The reason is unknown to me because ALL the traffic at the moment I tested this is simply not existent. It is even showed in the real time graphs.

I am kinda desperate because my brother and cousin have the same issue, and it was my idea to get the Router for better bandwidth management.

One note: if I disable QoS it seems that the problem disappears.
If you have ANY suggestion please post it and help me.

Hrm, this used to happen to me a lot while playing on my PC with the wireless card (USB), but never wired... and I eventually fixed it (which was great for my guildmates, since I was MT/OT) :)

Does this happen if you connect your PC directly to the cable modem ?

have you searched the tech forums on wow official forums ?

Edit: oh I see w/o QoS it works, how did you set up your QoS ? You do know that WOW uses TCP Port 3724 & the downloader uses TCP Ports 6112 and 6881-6999, so
you want those to have high priority.

Remember that by higher priority, it also needs to be higher up in the list to have prevalence over other rules!

by the way, I just started playing WoW and I don't have any latency issues... but QoS is disabled (and I am connecting via wifi)
