Hi, I have an RV042 V1/2 with FW '1.3.13.02-tm' in my office(fixed ip), and some RV042 routers at my customer's sites.

At the customer site, the router is behind another router, and is set to agressive mode, dyn ip with email address. keep alive, DPD, and nat-traversal options in the VPN settings are on.

Now the strange thing: I can communicate(http) with the devices at customer side, but I cannot ping them! I can only ping the router itself. When I checkout the nat-traversal option nothing works...

thank you for your much needed advice

I had a problem with remote access to a RV042 v1 (1.3.12.19-tm) router behind an ADSL modem in bridge mode. All the VPN communication with all computers was working correctly. But, the http acces to the RV042 interface was not working.

The culprit was the MTU setting set to auto. For some reason it did not detect a proper MTU value. So I did force a setting of 1458 I got from other RV042 behind some other ADSL modem. At that moment the VPN http acess to the RV042 interface started to work, perfectly.

Also I do remember some similar problems with 1.3.13 firmware, as well. The problems were gone after downgrading to 1.3.12.19-tm. But, it could be the cause of the MTU setting, as well.
