WPA Security Problem (Network settings not remembered)

    This is my setup:

    WRT54G 4 Port Wireless Router v 2.2.
Connects to one PC via ethernet
Connects to second PC via Wireless Network.

The second PC is currently running a new Linksys Wireless G PCI Card. (RT2500 Chipset version).

If I setup my network using WEP security, and set a key for that, there are no problems. However if I use a WPA Pre-Shared key, the PC will see it, link up, and connect. After a reboot however it can no longer find the network. Even if I refresh it through Windows Wireless Zero Config or the Linksys software. Both will come back as "Network not found" "No networks" etc.

Same if I uninstall the software/reinstall and reboot. It seems the network will NOT appear unless I go into the Routers setup page again, and change the channel.

I will then get a connection again to the network, until I reboot. IF i change the network security to WEP it will work fine again and remember the settings. So the problem seems to be with WPA security.

I am also using Sveasoft linksys' firmware. Not sure if that makes a difference.

    Thank You!

Did you turn off SSID broadcast? if yes, try to turn it on

Interesting you ask, because I was playing with the settings, in fact I did turn off SSID once. However the wireless NIC would never find the network and I manually inputed it. It never worked. So I deleted that custom profile off the Wireless NIC, and set my Rourter to broadcast SSID again.

I have checked numerous times it reports SSID is on.
