WPC11 ver. 3 and Windows 98 problem

After reading all postings, I still am having a problem with my Windows 98 (yes, it still works well) and my WPC11 version 3.

I have “lost†the WLAN monitor and unable to change the SSID for other networks (like Panera).

The WLAN monitor does not appear on the desktop or taskbar.

I have contact Linksys and they advised I reinstall the program with the installation CD (which I can no longer find).

They did provide me with the updated drivers but when I installed the new drivers I get the following error message “The WLAN Monitor Utility and other drivers for the WPC11 have already been installed.â€

Well, if so, I still can’t find it on my computer nor can I change the SSID.

    Suggestions, helpful hints or ideas?

    Thank you.

Try uninstalling your driver and WLAN monitor from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, then install the new version you received from Linksys. You may need to configure your wireless connection again.
