    Hello,

I just purchased a WPC54G v3 adapter. For some reason, while using the adapter my laptop (a Toshiba satellite) will just freeze. If I pull the adapter out, the computer begins to work again. I put the adapter back in and I reconnect to my network. At another random moment, the problem occurs again. Any ideas? I am using Windows XP SP2. Thanks for your help.

Please check the event log. What is the PCMICA adapter in your Toshiba, the O2Micro has had problems? In addition, some older notebooks have power problems. Make certain that the power saving features have disabled for the WPC54G.

Thanks for the help. I looked at the event viewer and it looks like I may have found a relationship between the locking and events under security. I found the event "failure audit". Looking at the details I receive

"IPSec Services: IPSec Services failed to get the complete list of network interfaces on the machine. This can be a potential security hazard to the machine since some of the network interfaces may not get the protection as desired by the applied IPSec filters. Please run IPSec monitor snap-in to further diagnose the problem."

I am going to try to research this further, but if anyone has any knowledge about this message or possible resolutions I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

As far as the type of PCMICA it is a Texas Instruments PCI-1420. Thanks again.
