I have my computer set up to automatically install Windows updates, but the KB893357 Windows SP2 WPA2 updated causes the computer to hang up at login. One of the benefits of the update is to eliminate the additional minute to establish connectivity to the access point and may be the cause of the problem. I have the latest driver version 14652. I used system restore to backout the update and had to turn off automatic updates to eliminate the problem. Has anyone else had problems with WPA2 capable wireless NICs? According to the Wi-Fi org the WPC54GSV5, the WPC54GSV3, the WPC54GS, the WMP54GS and the WMP54GSv1.1 are WPA2 capable. My WMP54Gv2 is not WPA2 capable and has had not problems with KB893357.

Tried removing the Linksys Client and installing KB893357 Windows SP2 WPA2 system hangs. Removed KB893357 Windows SP2 WPA2 and was running Linksys Client system hangs sporatically. I have to remove the WPC54GX and boot up to get system working. Will try starting system with bootlog to see what conflicts there are.

The latest firmware 1.2 works with KB893357 Windows SP2 WPA2. The computer no longer hangs. WPA2 settings do not work with the WRT54GX using WPA-PSK, when set to the WPA-2 setting.
