    I have following configuration:

    One desktop WinME wired.
    Two desktops WinXP SP2 wired.
    Two laptops WinXP SP2 wireless
Router WRT54G firmware 4.20.7 no SSID broadcast, no security.
Print server WPS54G firmware 6049 wireless DHCP dedicated IP.
Printer HP PSC 1210 USB connector.

PS and PC setup done with WinME, no problem. Just checked bidireccional compatibility to the printer and worked OK.

Problem is with WinXP SP2, couldn´t make the printer works with setup wizard in any of the PC's or laptops. Server is recognized, printer is seen, but WinXP ask for a TCP/IP port.

When trying to define TCP/IP port, printer is not recognized; I used every option available but get message "set printer fail. error code 1796 port not recognized.

Then I unistalled printer server setup wizard in all WinXP computers, installed printer driver in each of them, and define network printer as a LAN Manager printer. Now all are working OK but want to know why WPS54G setup wizard is not working under WinXP SP2.

Any comment or information will be appreciatted.
