After several months of happy use with the above router Im having problems. I lost connection and was unable to ping the router.
I did a factory reset and now am unable to connect/ping at all.

I am connected using a cable, but my XP machine tells me that i have limited connectivity (ie no IP address) I thought the router leased out addresses by default once reset???
When i create my own IP i am unable to access/ping the router.
However my Internet DOES work for some reason. The router is routing the web to my PC, but i cant access the setup page to set up Wireless.

Should the Power LED on the router flash on and off continuously? When i reset nothing changes - the LED's dont do anything different.

    Any ideas people?

the power led should flash briefly while the router is starting but thats it... if it's stays flashing there could be something wrong, try another 30 second reset see what happens...

yeah a hard reset should help you out. tryy this method as well

Push and hold in the reset button
After 5 seconds remove power to the unit
after 5 seconds reapply power to the unit
after 30 seconds release the reset button

wait for the router to reboot and see if you can ping it.

also try another ethernet port and cable.

I'm having exactly the same problem with my WRK54G, but the abovementioned solution (and many others) didn't work. All leds (power, 1, 2, 3, 4 and Internet) are still blinking, whatever I do.

    Any idea?
