WRK54G DHCP will not work

I have a WRK54g with the latest frimware updates sitting in my main conference room uplinked to the rest of my switches on my network. I have Windows XP laptops with SP2 loaded and I want them to be able to connect to my network wirelessly. I have been on support with linksys 4 times and have not been able to speak with anyone that understands true networking. I want to be able to receive a DHCP lease from my existing DHCP server on my network and not from the WRK5G so that I can use my network and internet. If I am wired in directly to the WRK54G I get my lease and I am able to browse my network just fine and get on the internet. (Internet comes from a T1 on my network and not from a cable or DSL modem) When I am wireless i do not receive a lease. I have tried assigning a local ip to the WRK65G and using the default network. (Both work when I am wired directly) I have turned off the internet firewall in XP and even tried with SP1 for XP. I have attempted to use DHCP to assign an unused block on my existing network. This does assign an address but does not let me assign a default gateway and therefore I am not able to connect to the internet. The default gateway becomes the address for the WRK65G. Again wired directly I am assigned an address from my network DHCP server and can connect to the network and internet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem! Did you ever resolve this? I am able to lease an IP when I do not have Wep enabled, but I don't want to leave things open like that permanently. Please advise!
