I purchased the WKPC54G kit last year. I've been having problems with
router ever since. Unfortunately I didn't realize the router that comes with the WKPC54G kit is a stripped-down version, with only one, non-removable antenna instead of two, so I can't upgrade it with the high-gain model. I get drops every few minutes. Yes, I've upgraded to the latest firmware. I also have to reboot it peridically because it locks up 2-3 times a week. Anyone else have similar experiences and/or ideas on how to fix it?

    Same problem

I'm having the same problem, I have to reboot the router about twice a week, the wireless side drops out abot every 5 to 10 minutes for a few seconds, so any VPN session gets dropped, I tried upgrading the card and router's firmware to the latest.

    thanks,

Yeah, I just purchased this same kit and also having drop out problems. This definetly is not a range issue since my router and two computers are all within 15-20 feet. Both computers get kicked and reset by the router at the same time as well. So it is something with the router itself. It also is annoying as hell to deal with. I have a feeling this router will not be staying for long.

    Bad model

I've had my router RMA'd twice and my connecting still drops once a day. The last time I made sure they sent another one. I requested a new device, not opened, but received an"QA'd" box. I believe the device itself is the problem. Linksys will not replace it with another model, I tried. My only other option is to just purchase a WRT54G. Next time I'll do my research, that's for sure.
