Got a WRK54g that displays some of its web setup pages as blank pages. As a result, some features - such as wireless encryption (on WEP.html) - cannot be configured. Since this was a brand new shrink wrapped router, I also have the install CD. I am hoping that this piece of software can get around the corrupt web pages and let me enable WEP or WPA. The router doesn't seem to have telnet or ssh support, and there is no other apparent way of getting around the web based configurator. Unfortunately, the setup wizard CD appears to be a very old version, it won't install on Vista or Windows 7. It installs on XP but claims it is not connected to the Internet. Could it by any chance be trying to connect to some server on the linksys domain rather than on the cisco domain and failing since linksys.com is gone? Was a new version of this CD released? The one I have is marked ver. 2.2 EU/EA. There appears to be no way cisco can be relied on to supply any form of help on this product of theirs, paid for or not.
