This just started happening. it was working fine before the weekend. Today when I got to work, I could not log onto the wireless router 54GS. It is running the latest offficial firmware. Anyway, a quick look and I found that the SSID being broadcast is WRONG. For example, if I set the SSID to 901, it becomes 921. if i entered ETL, it becomes EWL... etc etc. What the??? What could possibly happening?

Could someone be connecting to your router and changing your SSID?

    Just a thought

that is what i would guess. i had a few neighbors "acting up" before i set up wpapsk and thinkig they were on their router and thinking it had changed and they change again. wpa fixed the prob but you didnt tell all about your setup (protection, etc) so i cant say a lot more. do you have wep or wpa going and how many other ap are in your area. please let me know what you got going so one of "us" might be able to help.
