For what its worth... I recently got a WPC300N card for my IBM laptop to "compliment" my WRT300N which I have been using for some time in wired mode with no problems. Like many others, I found I could only get poor and intermitent connections. After much unproductive time with support and scanning this and other forums (fora?) I found a four year old answer to someone with my symptoms: could be interference, try changing channels on the router. I did this and now I have a SOLID connection that matches my wired speed. It took me one minute. This could be worth a try for others.

The setup help on the router tells you what settings are allowed but does not say anything about WHY one should consider changing them. If anything is offered, it just suggests using the default or "auto" if you don't know what other setting to try. I plan to follow up with Linksys support and provide direct feedback on my case number from a week ago. (I was told to call IBM).
