My WRT300N v2 is working great, except when the Standard Channel on the router’s wireless setup tab is set to channel one. If I set the router to use channel 1 (either standard 20 MHZ or wide 40Mhz radio band), downloads becomes very slow even non responding. On channel 6 and 11, throughput is fast, about 1500 KByte/sec (Mozilla, download 20Mb, ADSL 2+). When I use channel one, I get some 20-40 Kbytes/sec for the same files. Also the router’s web interface becomes very slow (seconds to load a page). I tested this with 2 different computers, win XP en XP prof, both having different brand 802.11g adapters. One internal adapter in a Laptop, one external PCcard. I use 802.11g adapters, not special N adapters. Router's Firmware Version: 2.00.13, no encryption. What I can see is that the 300N v2 does not send 802.11 ack frames on most 802.11 frames sent by XP when using channel 1. Those frames have to be resent by the client’s adapter. The rate is adjusted by the client until the rate drops to 1 mbs. Noise levels seem to be OK. Anybody else experienced these slow donloads while using channel 1?
