WRT300N/WPC300N: connect. to netw. type Wireless-G? UPDATED: solved with new driver!

    Hi all,

I got a WRT300N and WPC300N (the v2 European Version). What I find strange is that in the Control Panel the WPC is showing as connecting to a Wireless-G network (this being the value of of the property Network type). Shouldn't it be showing Wireless-N?

Anybody any idea why the wpc300n doesn't connect to a Wireless-N network (should it anyway?).

B.t.w. The driver version I'm using for the notebook card is And for the router 2.00.11.

    Regards, Johan.

I just installed the new driver (v6.0.0.204) from the Linksys site. It seems to be working fine. Also - the card is no longer connecting to a Wireless-G Network (with a speed of 54 Mbit). It's now connecting to a Wireless-N Network, as it should be doing (as I'm using the WRT300N). The actual Transmit rate showing in the control panel is now 216 MBit.

    Regards, Johan.
