Hi there I am new here and look to you for some sound advice.

I have a WRT350N with two USB NTFS WD drives connected...all is working fine with v1.03.2 firmware. This setup has been running for 2+ years with no failure.

I wanted to upgrade my firmware to the latest-of-the-greatest...1.04.4...so I down load the .bin file from Linksys....back up my .cfg file...safely remove the drives, hook my network cable to port #2 and off we go....tried to upgrade and get a failure after 12%....disconnect, restart, reconnect my drives and say "phewy"...

#1. I am relunctant to upgrade due to breaking something that isn't broke.

#2. I have heard, read horror stories where people "brick" their router....

#3. What the heck am I doing wrong!? Should I just leave and let things go as they work fine...or should I upgrade as I wil gain speed or something that I am missing...(that I don't know about) ?

Your advice and suggestions are most appreciated !

    Thank you !!!
