WRT350N (v2) How to get 300 mbit (40 MHz Channels) with 2,4 GHz?

    Hi everyone!

Glad to find such a specialized forum for us linksys users.

I am currently trying to receive informations and discover 2,4 GHz wide channel functionality in WRT350N (v2).

Using latest release firmware 2.00.17. My notebook has an Intel 4965agn wifi adapter. As far as I know Intel is using draft-n in a way where channel bonding (40 MHz) is disabled for 2,4 GHz frequencies.

Netgears WRT300/350 product line seems so serve only the 2,4 GHz and not the 5 GHz as the WRT600 does. Due to lack of availability in europe, I am currently stuck an WRT350n.

Any possibilities for "optimizing" the Intel driver - tried every version, tried to discover avaiable changes in .inf-file. Using latest Intel driver v11.5.1.15 from last week. Still no success.

Does anybody now how to "disable" the friendly neighbor assistant on the intel card or how to force to use channel bonding?

    Cheers Assertor
