    Hi folks,

I'm trying to find out from anyone whether Linksys gateways (or modem/router/AP combinations) users use (particularly the WRT54x or WAG54x), and whether users would recommend them for use with Apple's Airport (plain 802.11g) technology. Particular attributres I am interested in are: RANGE, good built in software, easy port forwarding, general sturdiness in both build quality and use.

I have used in the past:

Netgear 834G (v1 and v2) and GT - all pretty good.
Netgear 834PN - same good software, but much WORSE data rate and range.
DLink DSL-604T - awful software, but ok performance.

The 834PN would probably have been wonderful if I had a PC and a Netgear MIMO card...but being a Mac user none of the MIMO, RangeMax, SRT, etc. technologies will work with Mac - but the manyfacturers say that standard 802.11g devices will be better.

So....which will be best? What do you currently use? Any other info?

    Thanks,

    Dom
