I am new to this forum and I was wondering if you could tell me how to convert the WRT54AG to be a Wireless Access Point. I am trying to utilize this Wireless Router elseware in the house. I want this to be able to fuction as both a WAP and router and connect through wireless it to the intial wireless router.

    Thanks for your help.

Not with facory firmware, you can use it as a wireless access point wired to your inital router, but no connected wirelessly and as a router. What you are asking for is a repeater. Consumer repeaters receive and transmit with the same radio cutting the bandwith in half. Your WRT54AG has both a 5GHz and a 2.6GHz radio, I believe tha each radio cannot operate independently from the other.

Do you know if there is a hacked firmware that might at least turnt he router into an access point. It would defeat the purpose if I had to connect it to my other wireless router.

    Thanks for your help.
