I'm trying to put a WRT54G behind a FritzBox 7050 and I want to use the router as a router (with Qos, DHCP, WLan....everything). Is there a way by using a firmware or specific setting to do this? I need the Fritz to do the Voip and for a DSL2+ connection, which is not possible with my old modem. Before I've changed to DSL2+ I was using a Teladat 300 Lan an the WRT54G to connect and the FritzBox was connected behind the WRT - but this is not possible anymore...

    Help plz :)

Thx for fast replying. But how do I set up the WRT and which WRT port do I have to use? The DSL one or an normal LAN one? And am I really able to use al the router things I was talking about?

The DSL Port, configured with static ip via dhcp.
Now you can decide yourself if you prefer router or gateway mode.

You can configure this via the Linksys configuration tool or via a webbrowser. Default location is http://192.168.1.1 user admin pass admin.

    Hi,
I've tried a few settings but always with the same result. The PC connected to WRT54G can establish a internet connection through WRT54G --> Fritz 7050 but only for the first 10 secounds. After 10sec I'm not able to open weppages, use icq....

I've tried to use 'Automatic Configuration - DHCP' and 'Static IP' with the following settings:

Internet IP: 192.168.1.25 (the one which is received by wrt from Fritz)
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.15 (Fritbox IP)
Stastic DNS: all 3 empty, but I've also tried to put in the provider ones which are also used by the Fritzbox.

    WRT Tomato:
    Bassic Network:

    Type: DHCP
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    DHCP Server: on

    Advanced Routing: Mode: Gateway

    FritzBox:

    Internet Zugangsdaten:
    Internetzugang über LAN A: on
Internetverbindung selbst aufbauen (NAT-Router mit PPPoE oder IP): on
    Zugangsdaten werden benötigt (PPPoE): on
    Verbindungseinstellungen: as your Provider wan´t

This works fine for me at many years.

Okay, I've tried your settings but as far as I understand them, you need a DSL-Modem connected to the WRT. My hardware setup is like this:

    Fritz-Box (connected to DSL-Port) -> WRT -> PCs

I need the Frit-Box to connect to the internet and manage Voip and the WRT to connect all other PCs to the internet.

The only thing I don't get using your settings, why do the Fritz-Box need to
Internetverbindung selbst aufbauen (NAT-Router mit PPPoE oder IP): on
    Zugangsdaten werden benötigt (PPPoE): on
    Verbindungseinstellungen: as your Provider wan´t

when it doesn't dial in? Perhaps I'm getting the hole thing wrong, to be sure:

    - Fritz using DSL Port for connection to Splitter/DSL
    - Fritz LAN A for connection to WRT DSL Port

and then your settings. But the Voip-numbers-registraion fails an there is no internet connection. The WRT gets an IP adress, a gateway and a DNS.

    And I'm using tomato1.06.0981 and Firmware-Version 14.04.31
