WRT54G - DHCP for wireless connection only...is it possible?

I have a WRT54G wireless router, and I have about 4 computers (wired) and 2 laptops (wireless)

I frequently use my laptop at the university, which dictates that i need to have my IP address set to "obtain IP address automatically", but the way i have my home network set up is static, because I host files and have network drives on computers that I need static IPs for.

So my question is....Is it possible to have the WRT54G use static IP config for only the wired ports, and have DHCP enabled for my wireless connections, so i dont have to retype all the IP info everytime i leave the house and come back?

If not with the stock firmware, then does anyone know of any 3rd party firmware that allows this?

    thanks in advance!

it would be a long complicated proces because wlan and lan ports are bridged, you'd need 3rd party f/w either way, best shot is get any 3rd party firmware and use static DHCP entries for all your pcs.

actually you don't even need to do that, if you leave everything as is it should work fine, DHCP will work with whatever machines are set to obtain automatically and the statically configured ones will ignore the DHCP server.
