wrt54g does not allow logs to be sent to an email address.

I have WRT54G, which has feature to capture two separate logs under "adminstration-->log"; one for incoming and other for outgoing. WRT54G does collect both logs and save them in the unit. However, WRT54G does not allow the logs to be sent to an email address. WRT54G firmware version is 4.20.6

D-Link and Netgear wireless routers can be configured to send the log to an e-mail address.

    Any help would be appreciated.

there is no capability to capture the logs with official firmware, you would need to use a 3rd party firmware for syslog functions(capturing logs to a remote syslog server). most of the 3rd parties have this capability, ie Hyperwrt, DD-WRT, openwrt and sveasoft.

Is there a howto for DD-WRT? Does it work with FTP-Webspace or with a Samba/NFS-Server in the local Network (maybe I can use my Linksys NSLU2 :D)??? I found nothing in this Forum...

they can all used with a program along the lines of Wallwatcher or Kiwi syslog Daemon. DD-wrt also (if i recall correctly) has the facility to use the Rflow protocol although this may have been removed.
