    WRT54G
    Firmware Version: Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7sv

I have static IP on my WAN port on WRT54G, and max 4 computers running from the built in WRT hub and the WRT WLAN, it's all configured and works great for about a week but then it (WRT) stops routing and the (WRT) DHCP server crashes, when power-cycle WRT, the WRT DHCP/hub function works but it (WRT) won't route over the WAN, but if I connect the (ISP) static interface directly to a nic/pc and configure it with the same static ip/gateway/subnet/dns as the WRT-WAN, it works on the nic/pc, then I plug the (ISP) static interface back to the WRT and it all works fine.

Do you think it's a firmware problem??

I'm not very knowledgable about TCP/IP but is it possible my computer is doing something the router SHOULD do to the connection, like resetting a lease or sending some carrier signal or something (it's a simple static setup, no dialing/login required between me and my ISP's box [where the static IP ethernet interface is]), it's as if the connection drops but a normal nic will pick it up again. wierd.
